Saw this off the road in North Dakota this week and had to get a picture.

End of season Chukar hunt the last Hoorah!

Lee and I made a mad rush for Oregon and hunted with Thane for a day. It was -2 degrees to start the hunt. And the dogs needed the vests. Finally got a few chukar before the season ended. It was cold, but another blessed day in the field.

January quail hunt

Lee and I snuck away for a couple of hours to some of our favorite quail spots. We had a good day. We got a dozen Valley Quail. The birds weren't always where we expected them to be, but once we found them it was a blast.

 Nick, Lee and I went on a late season hunt.  We started with a Pheasant hunt in about a foot of snow.  Lots of birds, they were wild, but we had a few hold tight and got some great wingshooting in.  After that we went to some dryer country and shot quail, pheasant, and huns.  Pretty great day!

Lee and I had another great quail hunt to some of our trusty spots. Pepper was great and isn't in the pictures again. Milly also pointed some Huns, and Harley pointed the lone ditch parrot for us. Sadie had a few good finds as well.

Thanksgiving Hunt #3. The Thanksgiving tradition.

We went out on our annual family Pheasant Hunt for Thanksgiving morning.  We got into some Ruff Grouse, a few Pheasant (only 1 Rooster that Nick shot over an Annie and Harley point) and Hun that Travis shot over a point by Harley.

 I took my kids out for a morning hunt to a few of my favorite short easy hunts.  We got into a lot of birds. Riley missed a few and had a misfire on an excellent point by Harley.  Alex's dog Jewel had a great find on a Rooster I shot.  I also shot a nice Rooster over Milly.  Even though the kids didn't get any birds, it was a blast to get outdoors with them.
