I took a full day off from work and hunted hard yesterday with a buddy. Harley had an excellent day and I didn't hardly get any pictures of her. It was a beautiful day, alittle warm but great dog work all day.

Milly honoring Jazz
The genetics where I shot this bird are special. 24.5 inch tail feather
Had a beautiful evening hunt last night and another this morning with my hunting buddy and his son, my dad and my brother. Sharptail, Huns, and pheasant today. Only pheasant last night. We hunted hard, it was definitely an Idaho pheasant hunt. We even put my moms fall decorations to use for some good photos.
Huns, Sharptail, and pheasant.
Jordan with a nice rooster, Milly pointed this one really nice!
Evening hunt we did the night before. Nick, Hallie, and my dad and I.
Well it was warm and we saw alot of birds. Couldn't get close to them tonight. Shot 2. Lost one. Milly tracked down the one we found at 100 yards away. One of those days. When we got done the dogs (usually line up for pictures) were spent. I didn't even try to make them line up. Found a nice 5 point white tail shed and pointed a bunch of hens.
Milly on the retrieve. Look at the water in my gun barrel I'm So I'm titling tonight's hunt as Obsession...it was going to be dedication, but I went beyond that. For the first time in a long long time I missed the opener for pheasant Saturday. So I wanted to to get out today but it rained all night and most the day. So I went anyway, roads were a mess, and as I parked, the rain came again. Once again, I went anyway. The dogs were so determined and amazing today. We took 2 pheasant, a Hun, and a Sharptail. One rooster, I'm calling "The Freak" all 3 dogs pinned him down on point.
How about this mixed bag? Went chukar hunting. Dogs did pretty good. Milly even pointed a sharptail. Jazz nailed down either one big covey of chukar or two decent size ones. It got me thinking, how many places can young and shoot this mix in the same walk? I've done it a couple times now. Feeling Blessed!
Before and after pictures. Our season on the Indian reservation is open. I must have had 10 points over birds I couldn't tell what they were. Dogs did great today. I actually wiffed on two of the easiest shots you could ever have.
I was able to get a bird dogs and fly fishing buddy out on Sharptail this year. Maurice got his first 2 sharpies and I shot 1 as well. It was hot but we had some decent dog work. Jazz had the best point and I cut some feathers but didn't drop it.
