Did some training with Jazz

Not a fan of hunting pen raised birds, but got a chance to take the dogs out and expose Jazz to some pheasant. She actually found one, didn't point it.  I shot it down, Milly retrieved it and jazz took it from her.  All in all it was a good start.

Ok, I took jazz out hunting quail with the older dogs back in December. She found a bud light can and carried it around. She was proud of it!

Illinois Bob's

Had by far my most successful day hunting Bobwhite's in Illinois to close the season. The dogs seem to be figuring it out too! we had several points and some good finds. Not sure if it is harder to find them before you shoot them or after. Actually got 4. 1 isn't pictured.

Last Day in Idaho 2013

Went on a quail hunt.  Got my brother Richard and Lee's son Jordan their first valley quail.

Thanksgiving In Idaho day 1 and 2

Spent 5 days in Idaho over the Thanksgiving Holiday. Got quite a bit of bird hunting in. Here are the highlights of day 1and 2.

Woodcock aka Timberdoodle

We went on an Illinois quail hunt today. Total bust, we did however get into the dogs and Riley and I's first Woodcock. Dogs were pointing and retrieving them like they had hunted them before.

Retrieving Training with Jazz

Jazz loves to chase down the quail I have been training her with. We toss it in the trailer so she cannot run off, she is a puppy and likes to play still so we limit where she can go.

Missouri Bobwhite

First one!  Took me most of the afternoon. Dogs got into a covey. We split em up and had 4 good points and only one good shot.
