Jazz is our newest member of the hunting team. Another Brittany, a pick of the litter from a former dog of mine Cocoa.

Columbian Sharptail grouse hunting

Went out chasing Sharpies with Alex and Cameron on separate hunts.  Had some amazing dog work. Milly had some great finds and points. Harley had one good one.  Alex's dog Jewel and the Brits got us into a good group that Alex and I both took a bird from. One of the beauties of growing up where I did is chasing Columbian sharptail grouse.

Lee and I had a great quick run for Ruff Grouse. The scenery was amazing. Found some trophy birds and had a blast!

Tribute to Pepper

This last month I had to do one of the hardest things I have had to do in a while.  My faithful Brittany Pepper had to be put down after almost 12 years of chasing birds with me.  This slides show, doesn't scratch the surface on all the good times we had, nevertheless it is for her and the memories I will forever. She will be missed, but never forgotten,

More Idaho Grouse

Finally getting around to posting this, what a great opener. The bird numbers were great and the dog work was excellent!

We had a mix of blues, ruff, and spruce grouse.  I actually even tripled on a family of blue grouse that Milly and Harley pointed. What a great 4 days!
