Well this year's pheasant season started out with an incredible day yesterday. My dad, brother, and I spent our morning in some of our favorite spots. The Britts were on fire finding, pointing, and retrieving roosters. My dad went through half a box of shells but shot his first limit of roosters in a long time. We had some dandy wingshooting and dog work.
After that was done, I went out in the evening and took a limit of sharptail. Doubled on a point over Jazz.

BEAUTIFUL MORNING CHASING RUFF GROSUE
Counting my blessings this morning. Moved 9 grouse in 90 minutes. Dogs were awesome. Could have taken more, but just went 2 for 2 on the finely worked birds. Jazz pointed and retrieved a nice mature bird. Milly tracked down the other one that Jazz had pointed. I winged it down, thought I lost it, l looked up to see Milly working back up the brushy path from about 40 yards away with the grouse.
