November 2010 Pheasant Hunt to the Honey Hole!

Bryant and Harley with Bryant's first Rooster.  We spotted this one from the road.  It flew and landed on a ditch bank.  We put Bryant and Harely out on it. Harley quickly locked up on point and Bryant was able to take him down.

All in All, it was a great Day.  Lee and I got our limits of Roosters and Harely Pointed a covey of huns we had been chasing around that Lee and I each shot one out of.  Jordan also shot a hun that day.

Late December 2010 Chukkar/Hungarian Partridge Hunt

Cameron and I went out on a short morning hunt over Christmas break, just before New Years day. We worked and walked hard, and the dogs even more so. We were unable to locate any Chukkars. However, Cam's dog Clue pointed a covey of huns toward the end of the day. Harley moved in and honored from behind. We were able to get one out of the covey that went crashing to the ground. It then got up and flew and then crashed hard out of the sky down the canyon from us. Harley had a beautiful long retrieve and I was able to get some good shots of this one.

The Year in Review!!! August/September 2010

The Season Begins with a Grouse Hunt.  It even started a little bit early this year at the end of August.  And we got hit by the snow, yes in August.  We took Riley, Jordan and Bryant and had a great time!

Later in the Afternoon we were blessed with these Beautiful photo shots of these Bucks in the snow. They stuck around long enough to get some good pictures.

The day ended with the boys getting a their first Spruce Grouse.

Later in September, the opening day of Sage Grouse Season-

AJ, Jordan and Riley, with Archie and Pepper.  The first walk of the morning got the boys a lot of shooting and Jordan and AJ bagged their birds.
By the end of the day, All the boys ended up with their birds.  Lee and I also got ours.  We had some great dog work and great time with the boys.

Arizona Quail Hunt 2011

Recently Lee and I took a trip to Arizona and Hunted Quail in Arizona.  Having never gone after the Desert Quail, and  in this terrain, was an educational and fun experience.  I was able to take my first Gambel's Quail and Scaled Quail over point by the dogs.  It was an awsome must do again trip. The first picture is a pair of Gambel's Quail and 2nd picture is Harley and I with a Scaled Quail.

Lee and Archie!

Some of the Cholla Cactus!

Who cares about the car right?  Well there is quite a story to go with this one.  From the horns on top- to the Journey over the snowy pass we went over- can't share it for fear that the Rental car company will come after me.
